Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Man Ray could be acquired at Bonhams in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Letter A (L'A); Magie De L'Image changed hands for GBP 320.00 (€ 372.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Man Ray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Violon d'Ingres, 1924 in May last year with an auction result of USD 12,412,500.00 (€ 11,566,955.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Man Ray konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Letter A (L'A); Magie De L'Image für GBP 320,00 (€ 372,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Man Ray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Violon d'Ingres, 1924 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.412.500,00 (€ 11.566.955,55).
