Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples, which included the work Salomon sur son trône (Solomon on his Throne), from La Bible by Marc Chagall. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,737.50 (€ 5,385.30). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Salomon sur son trône (Solomon on his Throne), from La Bible von Marc Chagall zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.737,50 (€ 5.385,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
