Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work One Plate, From Jean Giraudoux, Judith by Max Ernst was auctioned at Bonhams in June this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 768.00 (€ 893.82). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Ernst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le roi jouant avec la reine in November last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 23,670,444.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit One Plate, From Jean Giraudoux, Judith von Max Ernst kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 768,00 (€ 893,82) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Ernst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le roi jouant avec la reine im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.435.000,00 (€ 23.670.444,64).
