Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Vademekum Mobile by Max Ernst for GBP 448.00 (€ 521.39). This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Ernst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le roi jouant avec la reine in November last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 23,670,444.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Vademekum Mobile von Max Ernst für GBP 448,00 (€ 521,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Ernst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le roi jouant avec la reine im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.435.000,00 (€ 23.670.444,64).
