Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Caramia Caramello by Mel Ramos was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,085.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mel Ramos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A.C. Annie in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 1,071,650.00 (€ 1,335,228.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Caramia Caramello von Mel Ramos wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.792,00 (€ 2.085,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mel Ramos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A.C. Annie im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.071.650,00 (€ 1.335.228,75).
