In September 2013 Christies in New York held the auction First Open, which included the work Not Pollock by Mike Bidlo. The result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 36,941.26) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mike Bidlo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Not Picasso (Bather with Beachball, 1932) in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,260,000.00 (€ 1,174,168.30).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Not Pollock von Mike Bidlo zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 36.941,26) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mike Bidlo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Not Picasso (Bather with Beachball, 1932) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.260.000,00 (€ 1.174.168,30).
