The work Maison close, trois filles au repos, dont une en chaussettes (Brothel, Three Girls Resting, One in Stockings), plate 90 from Série 156 (Bl. 1945, Ba. 1954) by Pablo Picasso was auctioned at Phillips in London in January 2024. It achieved a price of GBP 2,286.00 (€ 3,825.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
