This artwork by Peter Doig achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2007. In the Contemporary Art, Day auction, the work Boiler House sold for GBP 300,000.00 (€ 445,184.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Doig achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Swamped in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 39,862,500.00 (€ 35,317,179.06).

In der Auktion Contemporary Art, Day wurde die Arbeit Boiler House für GBP 300.000,00 (€ 445.184,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Doig erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Swamped im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 39.862.500,00 (€ 35.317.179,06).
