Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mexico City Personages I and II, from Octavio Paz Suite 2 by Robert Motherwell was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October this year. The price achieved of USD 2,432.00 (€ 2,301.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Motherwell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work At Five in the Afternoon in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 12,690,000.00 (€ 10,874,035.99).
