Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Five plates, from London - the Passing Scene by Rupert Shephard was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in London in October 2006. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 576.00 (€ 860.60), 15% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Rupert Shephard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Native Women With Mats in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,556.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Five plates, from London - the Passing Scene von Rupert Shephard wurde im Oktober 2006 in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 576,00 (€ 860,60) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rupert Shephard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Native Women With Mats im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.556,95).
