Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Sailor'S Arms, From Under Milk Wood: De Luxe Edition by Peter Blake was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 640.00 (€ 744.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Blake achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boys with New Ties in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 662,500.00 (€ 934,116.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Sailor'S Arms, From Under Milk Wood: De Luxe Edition von Peter Blake wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 640,00 (€ 744,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Blake erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boys with New Ties im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 662.500,00 (€ 934.116,68).
