Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Herberge by Thoralf Knobloch was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,342.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Thoralf Knobloch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Merkwürden in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 53,422.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Herberge von Thoralf Knobloch kam im Februar 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.342,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thoralf Knobloch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Merkwürden im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 53.422,19).
