The work Gotha by Victor Vasarely was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in June this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 896.00 (€ 1,042.79), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).

Die Arbeit Gotha von Victor Vasarely wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 896,00 (€ 1.042,79) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Vasarely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Altaï Iii im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 565.250,00 (€ 630.588,93).
