Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Wade Guyton was auctioned at Christies in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 378,000.00 (€ 352,250.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wade Guyton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 5,989,000.00 (€ 4,390,762.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wade Guyton kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 352.250,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wade Guyton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.989.000,00 (€ 4.390.762,46).
