In January 2024 Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Joseph Beuys (see F. & S. 245-247) by Andy Warhol. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 25,400.00 (€ 42,510.92), 69% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
