Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Trails I; and Trails II by Christiane Baumgartner was auctioned at Phillips in London in September 2019. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,641.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christiane Baumgartner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Manhattan Transfer, which sold at auction in September 2019 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,336.20).
