Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sanssouci by Christiane Baumgartner was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,334.00 (€ 5,047.31). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christiane Baumgartner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Manhattan Transfer, which sold at auction in September 2019 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,336.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sanssouci von Christiane Baumgartner kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.334,00 (€ 5.047,31) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Christiane Baumgartner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Manhattan Transfer beobachtet, die im September 2019 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.336,20) versteigert wurde.
