The »bidding war« ended at USD 533,000.00 (€ 390,762.46), 52% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Dan Colen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boo Fuck'n Hoo in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,255,865.10).

Die Arbeit Untitled (A Million Kisses In Your Lifetime) von Dan Colen wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 533.000,00 (€ 390.762,46) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dan Colen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boo Fuck'n Hoo im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.077.000,00 (€ 2.255.865,10).
