In June this year Bonhams held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work My Artwork Is Terrible And I Am A Very Bad Person by David Shrigley. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,085.58), 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Shrigley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (It's OK) in March last year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 39,754.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit My Artwork Is Terrible And I Am A Very Bad Person von David Shrigley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.792,00 (€ 2.085,58) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Shrigley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (It's OK) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 39.754,80).
