Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Science Is Truth Found Out (Red Scarf) by Ed Ruscha. The price achieved of GBP 1,024.00 (€ 1,191.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Ruscha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurting the Word Radio #2 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,485,000.00 (€ 47,631,364.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Science Is Truth Found Out (Red Scarf) von Ed Ruscha zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.024,00 (€ 1.191,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ed Ruscha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hurting the Word Radio #2 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.485.000,00 (€ 47.631.364,01).
