Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included this untitled work by Francesco Clemente. The price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 2,085.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Clemente achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fourteen Stations, No. XI in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,733,296.06).
