Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Old Salem: A Family of Strangers by Fred Wilson was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2006. It achieved a price of USD 9,600 (€ 7,908), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Wilson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bat in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 118,750 (€ 91,431).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Old Salem: A Family of Strangers von Fred Wilson kam im März 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.600 (€ 7.908) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fred Wilson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bat im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750 (€ 91.431).
