Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Danseuse créole (Creole Dancer) by Joan Miró was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of USD 44,475.00 (€ 41,744.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
