Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples, which included the work Mambo by Joan Miró. It changed hands for a price of USD 50,775.00 (€ 47,658.16) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
