Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Halam Tawaaf by Kader Attia. The price achieved of USD 121,875.00 (€ 89,351.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kader Attia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ghost, which sold at auction in October 2013 for GBP 181,875.00 (€ 214,974.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Halam Tawaaf von Kader Attia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 121.875,00 (€ 89.351,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kader Attia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ghost beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für GBP 181.875,00 (€ 214.974,81) versteigert wurde.
