In June this year Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Three Lithographs: one plate (L. p. 40) by Keith Haring. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,940.00 (€ 32,517.35), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Haring achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 6,537,500.00 (€ 5,818,351.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Lithographs: one plate (L. p. 40) von Keith Haring zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.940,00 (€ 32.517,35) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Haring erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.537.500,00 (€ 5.818.351,73).
