Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Ancient Sculpture Garden (B. 2) by Louise Nevelson for GBP 635.00 (€ 739.03). This price was achieved in the auction Evening & Day Editions at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Nevelson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dawn's Landscape XLIII in November last year with an auction result of USD 1,159,200.00 (€ 1,122,929.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ancient Sculpture Garden (B. 2) von Louise Nevelson für GBP 635,00 (€ 739,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Nevelson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dawn's Landscape XLIII im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.159.200,00 (€ 1.122.929,38).
