The work Klaus by Lynda Benglis was worth USD 378,000.00 (€ 352,250.49) to a buyer in May last year. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 100,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lynda Benglis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Moretti, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 1,071,000.00 (€ 998,043.05).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 100.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Lynda Benglis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Moretti beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 1.071.000,00 (€ 998.043,05) versteigert wurde.
