Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work L'Aventure by Man Ray. The price achieved of GBP 832.00 (€ 968.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Man Ray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Violon d'Ingres, 1924 in May last year with an auction result of USD 12,412,500.00 (€ 11,566,955.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Aventure von Man Ray zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 832,00 (€ 968,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Man Ray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Violon d'Ingres, 1924 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.412.500,00 (€ 11.566.955,55).
