Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lune, From Paroles Peintes by Max Ernst was auctioned at Bonhams in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 640.00 (€ 744.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Ernst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le roi jouant avec la reine in November last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 23,670,444.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lune, From Paroles Peintes von Max Ernst kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 640,00 (€ 744,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Ernst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le roi jouant avec la reine im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.435.000,00 (€ 23.670.444,64).
