Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, from The New York Collection for Stockholm by Richard Serra was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,540.00 (€ 2,956.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Serra achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L.A. Cone in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 4,267,750.00 (€ 3,285,917.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, from The New York Collection for Stockholm von Richard Serra wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.540,00 (€ 2.956,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Serra erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L.A. Cone im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.267.750,00 (€ 3.285.917,77).
