Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rob Pruitt could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Suicide Painting Xlv changed hands for USD 62,500.00 (€ 56,720.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rob Pruitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 6:20Pm, Late Summer in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 315,000.00 (€ 242,531.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rob Pruitt konnte im November 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Suicide Painting Xlv für USD 62.500,00 (€ 56.720,21) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rob Pruitt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 6:20Pm, Late Summer im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 315.000,00 (€ 242.531,57).
