Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work View from the Window (C. 215; G. 216) by Roy Lichtenstein was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2000. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 41,125.00 (€ 47,302.74). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit View from the Window (C. 215; G. 216) von Roy Lichtenstein kam im November 2000 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 41.125,00 (€ 47.302,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Lichtenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nurse im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.365.000,00 (€ 90.290.664,65).
