Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Suzanne McClelland could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Zohnafloh changed hands for USD 2,813.00 (€ 1,997.73) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Suzanne McClelland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ideal Proportions: Squeeze - A Winning Hand in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,026.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Suzanne McClelland konnte im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Zohnafloh für USD 2.813,00 (€ 1.997,73) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Suzanne McClelland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ideal Proportions: Squeeze - A Winning Hand im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.026,42).
