Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cerium by Urs Fischer was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 225,000.00 (€ 199,344.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Urs Fischer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Lamp/Bear) in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 6,802,500.00 (€ 4,731,844.74).
