It achieved a price of USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,882.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alex Katz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Umbrella I in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 3,375,000.00 (€ 3,914,757.96).

Die Arbeit Lincolnville Labor Day: three prints von Alex Katz kam im Juli 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.882,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alex Katz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Umbrella I im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.375.000,00 (€ 3.914.757,96).
