Auction result well in line with expectations
The work My House I by Christopher Wool was auctioned at Phillips in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,637.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Wool achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Riot) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 29,930,000.00 (€ 27,223,940.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit My House I von Christopher Wool kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.637,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Wool erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Riot) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.930.000,00 (€ 27.223.940,33).
