Upper estimate price exceeded by 60 %.
The work Running-Cursive Script Calligraphy by Emperor Qianlong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. It achieved a price of HKD 240,000.00 (€ 24,106.60), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emperor Qianlong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Replanted Wutong Studio in December this year with an auction result of HKD 18,525,000.00 (€ 2,143,554.51).
