Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Untitled (1945-?) by Nyoman Masriadi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 41,854.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nyoman Masriadi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 7,820,000.00 (€ 795,442.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (1945-?) von Nyoman Masriadi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 41.854,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nyoman Masriadi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.820.000,00 (€ 795.442,36).
