In June this year Bonhams held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Le Dimanche Matin by James Tissot. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,664.00 (€ 1,936.61), 66% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Tissot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Visit To The Yacht (La Visite Au Navire) in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 2,210,500.00 (€ 2,658,888.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 66 % übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Dimanche Matin von James Tissot zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.664,00 (€ 1.936,61) und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Tissot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Visit To The Yacht (La Visite Au Navire) im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.210.500,00 (€ 2.658.888,67).
