the complete set of 33 etchings and aquatints, in- and hors-texte, title page, text in English and French, and justification, on Richard de Bas watermark SB and Jasper Johns, signed by the author and the artist on the justification, copy 117 of 250 (there were also 30 artist's proofs), with full margins, bound (as issued), generally in very good condition, original linen-covered box with the lithographic liner in colors and purple silk tassle. 13 ½ x 10 ½ in. (343 x 267 mm.)

Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jasper Johns could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Samuel Beckett, Fizzles (Foirades), New York and London, Petersburg Press, 1976 changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,482.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jasper Johns achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Small False Start in November last year with an auction result of USD 55,350,000.00 (€ 53,618,134.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jasper Johns konnte im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Samuel Beckett, Fizzles (Foirades), New York and London, Petersburg Press, 1976 für USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.482,04) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00.
