Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hand Painting on the Mandala by Jim Dine was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,750.00 (€ 11,881.46). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jim Dine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fence (Sydney Close) in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 391,000.00 (€ 436,481.36).
