Upper estimate price exceeded by 34 %.
In June last year Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Don Juan by Manolo Valdés. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,441.97), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manolo Valdés achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Infanta Margarita in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 538,602.24).
