the complete set of 24 lithographs in colors, hors-texte, title page, text, table of contents and justification, on Arches paper, signed in pencil on the justification, copy 114 of 250 (there were also 20 copies on Japon paper in Roman numerals), each the full sheet, seven plates unevenly toned with skinning in places on the corresponding text page, loose (as issued), with original buckram-covered portfolio with gilt stamped title and paper wrappers. 21 x 15½ in. (533 x 394 mm.)

The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 31.923,38) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
