Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter Moon (McCarron 29) by Martin Lewis was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2010. The price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,216.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Lewis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut and Study for 'Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut': A Pair of Works, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,276.85).
