Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples, which included the work Batman by Mel Ramos. Here, the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,505.17). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mel Ramos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A.C. Annie in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 1,071,650.00 (€ 1,335,228.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Batman von Mel Ramos zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.200,00 (€ 9.505,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mel Ramos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A.C. Annie im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.071.650,00 (€ 1.335.228,75).
