Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wonder Woman by Mel Ramos was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,317.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mel Ramos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A.C. Annie in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 1,071,650.00 (€ 1,335,228.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wonder Woman von Mel Ramos wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.317,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mel Ramos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A.C. Annie im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.071.650,00 (€ 1.335.228,75).
