This artwork by Pablo Picasso achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. In the Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples auction, the work Portrait de Marie-Thérèse de face (Portrait of Marie-Thérèse from the Front) sold for USD 10,880.00 (€ 10,295.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
