Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A view of the Bay of Naples, with figures on the Riviera di Chiaia by Pietro Antoniani. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,566.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pietro Antoniani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Riviera Di Chiaia, Naples, From The Convento Di Sant Antonio, With Vesuvius Beyond; Posillipo, Naples, From The Riviera Di Chiaia; The Strada Nuova, Naples, Looking Towards The Castello Del Ovo; Naples; And The Strada Di Santa Lucia, Naples, From Pizz in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 134,
