This artwork by Reginald Marsh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2013. In the First Impression Prints and Multiples auction, the work Smokehounds sold for USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,952.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Reginald Marsh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Merry-Go-Round in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 790,000.00 (€ 747,964.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Reginald Marsh erzielte im Juli 2013 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Impression Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit Smokehounds für USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.952,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Reginald Marsh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Merry-Go-Round im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 790.000,00 (€ 747.964,40).
